I am a postdoctoral fellow in the Connections Lab. I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, and my BA in Computer Science, with a focus on Arts and Technology, from Smith College. My research is in the areas of Human-Computer Interaction and Computer-Supported Cooperative Work. I focus on using participatory methods to create domestic technologies with the families and communities that will use them.
In my current research, I work with preschoolers to design new ways for them to independently connect with their distance-separated family. I also explore different ways that art and science together tell us something about our digital interactions.
