Stephanie Wong (MSc)

Coming from a third generation Chinese family in Pakistan, I had the blessing of exploring a mixed culture of both. Among other things, I love the variety of traditional Pakistan’s mixed spicy cuisine and home-made Chinese food. It doesn’t get any better with tandoori roti, daal, karhai- Chinese fried rice, hot and spicy chicken…the list goes on.

My passion has always been in creating value for the users by integrating graphics and technology. This has inspired me to first gain my Bachelors of Computer Arts degree (FJWU, Pakistan) and then a MSc in Business Administration (JIBS, Sweden). After working for several years, I have realized that I would like to take my passion to a further level that is become an expert in user experience and interactive systems. I would like to reach out to greater audience, create the technology required and even more manage it.

For this reason, I have chosen to do my Msc from School of Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University, because it allows you to explore arts, communication and technology as a specialized field. It is the pinnacle of all the skills and knowledge I would like to gain. My main areas of focus are e-learning, mobile and ubiquitous technologies.
