Irene Ye Yuan (Post-Doc)

I am a postdoctoral fellow in the Connections Lab. I completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Minnesota, a Master in Human-Computer Interaction and Design from University of Washington, and a B.A. in Computer Science and Math from St. Olaf College. I also have two years industry experience in UX.

As a researcher, my interests focus in the area of Human-Computer Interaction and Computer-Supported Cooperative Work. My research is mainly about designing technology to support people’s collaborative activities in both social and non-social contexts. My Ph.D. research specifically investigated designing and developing technology to support remote shared activities for people’s social connectedness.
